Teen Talk

Guiding teens through life’s challenges

Teen Talk is a dynamic life skills program designed to empower young people with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to make informed decisions and lead purposeful lives.

The curriculum explores a broad range of relevant topics, including:

  • Drug and substance abuse
  • Healthy relationships
  • Sexual and reproductive health
  • Self-esteem and body image
  • Time management
  • Goal setting and personal growth

To foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment, Teen Talk sessions are co-educational, enabling both boys and girls to learn together. For more sensitive discussions, students are guided into gender-specific groups: Sister Circle for girls and Simba Circle for boys, ensuring open dialogue and peer support.

In 2024, despite ongoing political and social challenges, the Teen Talk team reached thousands of young people through both in-school and out-of-school programming. Acting as trusted mentors like big brothers and sisters, our facilitators offer encouragement, guidance, and a consistent presence that resonates far beyond the sessions.

The impact is clear: from improved behaviour in the classroom to stronger peer relationships, Teen Talk continues to shape a generation of confident, thoughtful, and well-equipped youth ready to take on life’s challenges.

How To Support

If you donate to the Thomas Court and Thomas Court Mobile Libraries, you will be helping to provide books, fill library shelves, and create accessible learning spaces for children, fostering a culture of reading and lifelong learning.
